Surah Al-A'raf
The translation of the meaning:
16. (Iblis) said: "Because You have sent me astray, surely I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight Path.
17. Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You)."
18. (Allah) said (to Iblis) "Get out from this (Paradise) disgraced and expelled. Whoever of them (mankind) will follow you, then surely I will fill Hell with you all."
Personal Insight
The above mention verses from Surah Al-A'raf are the account of Iblis's plan to attack the muslims.
Iblis stated that he would attack the slaves of Allaah from the right, left, front and behind. However, Alhumdulilaah, he forgot the top and the bottom.
So raise your hand in supplication and seek forgivness from the Al Ghafoor (The Most Forgiving). Go down in Sujood and repent to the Al-Tawwab (The Acceptor of repentance).
Hadith Qudsi 34:
On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: Allah the Almighty said:
O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.
